You do not need to be any good, and you do not need to know anyone here. If you want to play squash at Bisham Abbey, that is enough to be going on with.
Drop us an email or give us a ring and tell us roughly where you are with squash. Never played, played at school, or playing every week somewhere else. All of it is useful and none of it is a test.
We will point you at a night that suits and put you on court with someone at a similar level. Bring trainers with non marking soles. We can usually sort you out with a racket for a first go.
Our internal leagues are open to players of all abilities. Games run over a calendar month, and at the end of each one we review the boxes and sort out promotions and relegations. New starters slot in when the next league begins, and there are always people around for a game in the meantime.
We run an active team in the Berkshire League. If you are new, start in the internal leagues and have a word with anyone at the club when you fancy it. That is genuinely the whole process.
Our internal leagues run as boxes. Each box holds a handful of players at a similar level and you play everyone in yours, so your matches are against people who will give you a proper game rather than a walkover in either direction.
The leagues run on SquashLevels, so every result counts towards a score that tracks your progress. Have a look at the current boxes before you commit to anything. They are public, and they will give you a feel for the club.
